12. Aviation Information

This part of the test measures your knowledge of aviation. Questions consist of terminology and basic aviation principles. Flight physics, common airport FAA rules, runway standards, flight control surfaces, airplane instruments, airplane mechanics and other key aspects of aviation will be asked. Most questions center around fixed-wing aircraft, although there may be a few questions on rotary aircraft as well. Each of the questions or incomplete statements is followed by four choices. You are to decide which one of the choices best answers the question or completes the statement. The Aviation Information AFOQT subtest is 20 questions and must be completed within 8 minutes.
