# AFOQT Composite Scores

The graded elements of each subtest of the AFOQT are separated out into the following composite score categories:

Pilot
Combat Systems Officer (CSO)
Air Battle Manager (ABM)
Verbal
Quantitative
Situational Judgement

Pilot
Pilot composite scores measure aptitudes and knowledge of manned and unmanned pilot training. The Pilot composites include the subtests that measure quantitative skills, ability to read and interpret aviation instruments, ability to read aircraft attitude, aeronautical concepts, and knowledge of perceptual speed. Those aspiring to be pilots need a minimum score of 25. Navigator candidates need to score a minimum of 10.

Combat Systems Officer (CSO)
The CSO composite measures knowledge needed for the completion of CSO training. This includes verbal aptitude and spatial ability, as well as quantitative knowledge and knowledge of perceptual speed. Those looking to become a CSO need a minimum score of 25, while aspiring pilots need at least a 10.

Air Battle Manager (ABM)
The ABM composite is aligned with the skills and abilities needed to successfully complete ABM training. This includes determining aircraft attitude, knowledge of aeronautical concepts, perceptual speed and quantitative skills. Additionally, subtests measuring verbal aptitude and spatial ability skills are a part of the ABM composite. ABM potential candidates need to have a minimum score of 25.

The academic aptitude composite measures verbal and quantitative knowledge and skills. Any subtests that consist of Verbal and Quantitative composites go into this score. No minimum score is required.

Verbal
The verbal composite measures verbal reasoning knowledge and abilities, with subtests that score reasoning logic, make inferences and recognize word relationships. The minimum required score is 15.

Quantitative
The quantitative composite measures the subtests scores of arithmetic reasoning and math knowledge. The minimum required score is 10.

Situational Judgement
The situational judgment composite measures judgment and decision-making in various situations. There is no minimum score required.
